Simply Didn't Cut It
I am a big fan of the Ace Combat series a was very disappointed of this game.
I initially looked for a different title since there is no Ace Combat for PS3.
HAWX left me a bit flat so I tried this out.
The gameplay is very flawed for those of us flight-sim style players.
For example, you usually roll the aircraft and pull the nose up to turn. In this game, the planes try to level themselves as you try to pull the nose.
This makes it extremely frustrating on some levels, especially the last one.
The storyline is nowhere close to engaging and I could care less about the characters.
Overall, if you're trying to find a flight sim, pre-order the new HAWX 2 or pick the older HAWX 1.

Blazing Angels 2
Good graphics, good story line, missions are action-packed and occur all over the world, fun on two-player, great selection of WWII planes, downfall for youngsters is cursing.

Good arcade type fun
This game is basic arcade type fun. It may be because it is a bit dated. The graphics ar ok at best, but the action seems nonstop. It will definitely keep you engaged, but make no bones about it this is no IL 2 Sturmovik. For the money it is a great little game that will provide hours of enjoyment.

Many hours of play and a lot of fun!
I bought BA2 because I enjoyed BA1 so much. This game is a definite improvement over the first. The controls are easy, graphics are great and game play and story are done pretty well. I really like that you can upgrade your planes, adds a little more strategy to the game. The missions are not overly difficult but a few of them did get frustrating from crashing so often. My one disappointment with both of these games is there is no speed or direction indicator - while its not necessary for game play, it would definitely be helpful in some situations. BA2 also adds defensive weapons, and while a neat concept, on "easy" mode there wasn't really a need for them except on missions they were required.

Good, but not much excitement
I'm not going to say the game is bad; it is good. A lot of work went into this game. I like the controls, graphics, etc. However, I just find myself going to one mission to the next (not without dieing many times, of course) with no feeling of accomplishment. Worth getting for a cheap price.
